Technique Track Club is an organization whose mission is to teach proper athletic techniques while encouraging children to reach their fullest potential in athletics, education and life skills. Technique Track Club was founded in 2002 by a group of dedicated parents; William and Charlene Moore, Steven and Stephanie Cuffee, and Robert Hill. The founders recognized the need to provide a quality track and field program for youth who are exposed to environments that put them at-risk. Technique Track Club is recognized as one of the elite programs in Virginia and the surrounding areas.
Our motto is "Training for Life". This means that the methods we use to reach student athletes have proven to be successful in both athletics and academics and remain with our members throughout their transition into adult life. Our program incorporates physical fitness, proper running techniques, good nutrition, and positive life skills. Technique Track Club is committed to provide Hampton Roads, Virginia area youth (ages 6-18) a firm foundation for developing positive character, sportsmanship, responsibility and leadership skills, while enhancing student athletes abilities to compete in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and the USA Track and Field (USATF) arenas. This type of participation has proven rewarding for all student athletes and adults involved in the program.
Technique Track Club fully embraces the family concept of working together within our organization and throughout the community. Our coaches and parents promote and model skills that encourage our members to be positive and conduct themselves responsibly. We continually seek opportunities to engage in activities that encourage our student athletes to bond. Since the clubs beginning, we have exposed our student athletes to historical sites, cultural events, and museums, while competing in various states including Florida, Louisiana, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Iowa and Texas.
